BIOGRAPHY:
Dolores Burke currently lives in Brussels, Belgium, with her family. Born in Tipperary, Ireland. She studied Fine Art at Limerick School of Art and Design, completing a B.A. Honours Degree in Painting in 2000. The following year she graduated with First Class Honours in the National Diploma for Art and Design Teaching. Since then she gained extensive experience of art practice in a range of teaching environments. In 2003 she spent a year at I.S.M. in Libya, returning in 2004 to a teaching post in Dublin, while beginning to develop and research her painting work again. In 2004 she sat a course in Digital Photography and Photoshop at Tipperary Institute and in 2005/07 she studied printmaking at the Institute of Art, design and Technology Dun Laoghaire. She took a career break in 2011 to move to Paris with her family and since then has also spent almost a year in Amsterdam before her current location of Brussels.
